Fright Night (1985) My Next Door Neighbor Is A Blood Sucking Creep! June 16, 2024 08:00
The film's relatable simplicity and consistently gripping plot allow it to stand out among other horror films of its time. It skillfully maintains an air of mystery and tension without relying on cliches, while still incorporating moments of humor to prevent it from becoming too dark.

Waxwork (1988) Wax On, Wax Off June 2, 2024 08:00
Waxwork successfully captures the essence of 1980's supernatural and horror films, transporting viewers into other worlds of cinema horror history. But does it melt before the plot of the film has the appropriate time to cure?

Totally Blonde (2001) So Blonde It's Good November 24, 2022 12:43
Totally Blonde, morphs the popular phrase, "so bad it's good", into "so blonde it's good". Whether it's supposed to be a farce on the popular film genre, or an actual bizarre attempt at a legit romantic comedy, it oddly enough has some redeeming factors even though it's a complete mess of a film.

Speed Review: Death Spa (1989) No Pain, No Gain May 4, 2022 08:00
Death Spa offers a fair share of camp, with plenty of 80's American flare and a lot of beautiful women in spandex or very little at all, which may or may not be ruined by the ending which quickly spirals out of control.

Sex Kittens Go To College (1960) Mamie And The Monkey March 26, 2022 08:00
With Mamie giving a solid performance, and being pleasant on the eyes, followed by a chimp who pops up throughout the film providing the best laughs, Sex Kittens Go To College straddles my list of "so bad, it's good" titles.

Deathstalker And The Warriors From Hell (1988) Hecho En Mexico March 5, 2022 08:00
Just when I thought the Deathstalker series couldn't get any worse, filmed in Mexico with a shoestring production budget, an 8 bit video game soundtrack, and a reheated story from the first two films, Deathstalker And The Warriors From Hell is a failure on all levels.

Speed Review: Jezebel's Kiss (1990) Family Ties March 28, 2021 12:12
To the credit of the writer / director, while the film is awful at least he had the sense to take advantage of the fact he had a hot model willing to bare all and actually gave her a bulk of the screen time, something those "geniuses" behind the early Pamela Anderson films failed to grasp.

Speed Review: Snapdragon (1993) A Not So Happy Ending February 12, 2021 13:00
Snapdragon is another Pamela Anderson vehicle that fails to understand if you're going to make a bad film with one of the most popular playmates of all-time at least make one where she receives a bulk of the screen-time.

Speed Review: She (1984) - SHE! SHE! SHE! September 14, 2020 08:00
While She is far from perfect what the film gets right is the casting of Sandahl Bergman running around in a loin cloth with a sword the entire film making it worth the watch at least once on that alone.

Deathstalker II (1987) Swords & Slapstick August 3, 2020 10:30
Deathstalker II tries too hard to be funny instead of just being a low budget fantasy adventure film that is funny based on it's own mediocrity, which is what I expect from the Deathstalker franchise.

Raw Justice (1994) Not The Breast... I Mean Best June 13, 2020 08:30
Raw Justice is a "raw deal" when it comes to giving people what they likely are looking for, Pamela Anderson. If you like pointless chase scenes, the frequent instrumental of Bad To The Bone, and big guns then you'll find it here, but Pamela is not the feature presentation.

Shadow Puppets (2007) Strip Down For Your Shadow October 11, 2019 08:00
Shadow Puppets manages to surprise and be more than simply a low budget horror / thriller that squeaks by solely on the merit of Jolene Blalock and Natasha Alam walking around most of the film in their underwear.

Career Opportunities (1991) - Giddyup! July 24, 2019 08:00
Career Opportunities is a strange little early 90's comedy that has a lot of charm and proves Jennifer Connelly can look sexy doing just about anything.

Speed Review: Fatal Conflict (2000) - Are You Talkin' To Me? July 23, 2019 08:00
Fatal Conflict is a stale low budget action film that looks like it was filmed in the 80's, with a guy who can't turn the bad De Niro impressions off, starring an actress whose real assets go unused in a story Van Damme would likely even turn down.

Deathstalker (1983) Boars, Busts & Barbie Benton April 25, 2019 11:12
While Deathstalker is no masterpiece, the film is not only one of the first, but one of the better Conan knock-offs, and I'd go as far to say more enjoyable than even Conan the Barbarian itself.

Labyrinth (1986) - Hey Little Sister, It's A Nice Day For A White Wedding April 5, 2019 08:00
Production wise Labyrinth is top notch for it's time, and probably only the special effects could be bettered with today's technology, the sets and puppets are all very lifelike and believable which really helps bring the fantasy essence of the film to life.

Speed Review: The Advanced Guard (aka The Colony) (1998) - Rated-R For Really False Advertising March 8, 2019 13:54
The Colony is a perfect example of false advertising. It's typical Sci-Fi Channel schlock with after-the-fact repackaging, re-branding, and the blatant pointless flauntingly of blonde beauty Jennifer O'Dell (who was never in the original version) to sell some DVD's.

Alien Terminator (1995) - I'm A Celebrity Look-A-Like Get Me Out Of Here! February 24, 2019 09:00
Alien Terminator contains neither an alien nor a futuristic cyborg assassin. But that really doesn't matter because what other film features a crackhead Corey Feldman double, a cowardly Billy Ray Cyrus clone, the country bumpkin version of Bradley Cooper, Maria Ford pre-cosmetic surgery and the spicy Lisa Boyle whose credited under two names!

Transformations (1988) - A Bad Case Of Space Herpes February 17, 2019 15:11
Transformations is a really bad soap opera masquerading as a cheesy science fiction horror film whose only silver lining is it's sandwiched between Italian model Pamela Prati's breasts and a minuscule amount of action at the end.

Speed Review: Wonder Women (1973) - Minus The Wonder February 5, 2019 09:00
If you're a sucker for bad movies filmed in the Philippines, with no plot, an obligatory cock fighting scene, a drunk insurance investigator, the hot redhead who played Greedo in Star Wars, an army of butt kicking beauties, and of course Vic Diaz, then Wonder Women is the film for you!

The Lost Empire (1984) - A Film Even Corman Couldn't Love January 26, 2019 09:00
Even Roger Corman told him [director Jim Wyonorski] he hated the film, only conceding there was a few good camera shots and the actresses were attractive. When Corman doesn't like your campy film seems to me that says something.

Starcrash (1978) - The Best Star Wars Knock-Off Film Ever January 18, 2019 09:00

Speed Review: The Haunting of Morella (1990) - Babewatch In Colonial America December 3, 2018 09:00
While I prefer my B-movies "made in Italy", in terms of American camp anything Roger Corman is attached to is usually about the best in entertaining crap you can get made in America, as most of his films purely aim to please the basic senses, which is pretty well accomplished here.
