Hello all! We're very pleased to announce the debut of Voluptuous Vinyl! If you haven't already, we highly encourage you to check out all the links via the menu bar to familiar yourself with the site, what we offer and how everything is graded, listed and shipped; so there's no need to repeat all that here. In this introductory post we wanted to give you a quick rundown of a few items and inform you of the different social media channels we will be using that you may find beneficial to follow if you're interested in keeping up with the site new developments and inventory updates.
First off we're kicking off this launch with a very special collection of vinyl records, finding and listing this many sealed records that range from 20-30+ years old with this rarity of soul and funk artists will not be a regular occurrence, but we thought it would be a good way to kick things off. So if you're a fan of 70's soul / funk music this one should be of extreme interest to you. We also have a small collection 50's budget records that featured one of the queens of cheesecake covers the buxom blonde-bombshell actress Jayne Mansfield, who was literally a fixture on record cover in the 1950's. Also two modern day releases from British soul sensation Paloma Faith which were both limited pressing out of the UK and are both hard to find.
We hope to add a minimum of 50 new items every week or two, we have thousands of LP's and in the future hope to begin listing 45's which we have thousands of as well. There's a lot in the pipeline, so stay tuned!
In terms of keeping up with news and new additions here's how we'll make us of some of our outlets.
Blog - We'll have multiple blogs going on the site, our news section will feature updates to the site, previews to new additions, etc. The review blog will feature postings on albums we're enjoying, recommendations, etc.
Facebook / Twitter - Be the first to know about new blog posts, site changes and the most important... new inventory. When we post a new batch of records for sale our followers will be the first to know, giving them first chance to buy!
Instagram / Pinterest / Tumblr - We use Instagram a lot to show you some cool items, previews of items that will eventually be for sale, or simply sharing from our own collection. If you're a Tumblr fan most of our Instagram photos also post to our Tumblr blog. We're also going to attempt to use Pinterest in a similar fashion.
More in depth news and postings in the future, just wanted to encourage you to make use of our social media as that's what we'll use lot to keep you informed and the best way to have first chance at the new additions! We hope you enjoy our site and we look forward to supplying your vinyl needs!
