A bizarre sex comedy, the story follows fashion model Danielle (lovingly known as 'Dany'), Sandra Julien of Shiver Of The Vampires fame, as she hitchhikes her way from gig to gig to save for a car. The multitude of dangers and peculiarities she encounters along the way, such as a hearse driver desiring to be intimate underneath the hearse, a sheep-mistaking lunatic, a kinky Italian countess, a hippy with a surprise, a butterfly collector obsessed with crucifixes, and a Rolls Royce-riding Byzantine prince, set the stage for Willy Rozier's unique take on independent French production. As an Olympic swimming champion, film genre specialist (action, crime, comedy, thrillers, etc.), and underwater film-making innovator, Rozier discovered and launched the careers of many iconic female stars, such as Brigitte Bardot and Françoise Arnoul.
The Girl Can't Stop! (1965)
Based on a renowned Greek novel, Willy Rozier's Les chiens dans la nuit (Dogs in the Night) was released in the USA as The Girl Can't Stop! and Die Sadisten (The Sadists) in Germany. It's a gripping tale exploring how far some men will go to get what they want, exploiting the women in their lives to do so. Manuel (Georges Rivière) is a man on the brink of financial ruin, having lost his last fortune at the casino. His brutish companion, Manolis, suggests that Manuel can save his faltering business by having his beloved Tassoula, a ravishing beauty, sleep with banker Giorgian Kaledis in order to borrow money from his bank. Tassoula initially rejects the plan, yet finds herself falling for Giorgian, seeing in him a potential escape from her loveless marriage. Nevertheless, to her dismay, the seemingly pure Giorgian is instead a deviant, taking pleasure in having his bald, one-eyed servant Kior Ali assail women. The Girl Can't Stop! boasts a veritable cast of celebrated European cinema veterans, including Greek "blonde bombshell" Zeta Apostolou and gorgeous Maria Xenia. This gripping drama hurtles towards its enigmatic and pessimistic finale.
This limited red case edition includes a full color booklet, with new essay on the film by Jacques Spohr, and reversible cover sleeve art. Limited to 1,200 numbered copies.

DVD Grading
We spot play test all used DVD's. DVD's that have never been opened we obviously cannot guarantee their state.
We encourage you to view all the pictures and read our comments on the conditions, as we find these to be more beneficial than a standard grade. Occasionally we'll use a grade range (ie: VG / VG+) for either disc or cover if condition is borderline and hard to stick in one category.
Mint:
DVD - only given to sealed discs, or films we personally acquired new, opened them but never played. Of course since the disc is sealed we cannot guarantee there are no pressing flaws, and since DVD's are out of print, we cannot except returns or exchanges on sealed titles that have been opened.

Orders ship within two business days.
Rest assured, unlike MANY sellers and even large companies, we know how to ship vinyl (and LaserDiscs) correctly! We used high quality mailers, two to three cardboard stiffners and if the album you are buying is used it is shipped outside the cover to prevent damage to the seams in transit. When it comes to shipping LaserDiscs we don't always ship outside the cover as in transit seam wear is not as common. If you want your discs shipped outside the cover feel free to note that at checkout in the message box.
See our new shipping page HERE for all rates and information.
Please note we no longer ship to the following:Germany - because of your LUCID packaging registration requirements
UK (including Ireland & Scotland) - because of your Brexit VAT registration requirements
