Nighttime.  A peal of thunder.  A castle by the sea.  A severed head rolls across a carpeted floor.  A blood-stained sword lies next to it...

Meanwhile police are in hot pursuit of a criminal who is evading capture on a speeding motorbike.  He takes refuge in the overgrown castle grounds.  And he sees a dark-haired woman burying a corpse in a shallow grave.  13 years later, after being recaptured and serving serving his sentence, the man returns to the castle, intent on blackmail.  And maybe a few other things.

The above synopsis only covers the first few minutes of this wild psychedelic nightmare.  Frequently described as one of the craziest of all Italian "giallo" thrillers, In The Fold Of The Flesh is all that and more.  Several dismembered heads are featured.  Visitors arrive at the castle, only to be murdered in a variety of gruesome ways.  Characters turn out not to be who they said they were... incest, madness, flashbacks, Etruscan skeletons and even a Nazi death camp are all woven into the fabric of the film.

A sterling cast, led by dueling divas Pier Angeli and Eleonora Rossi Drago, liven up the proceedings and make this one of the most entertaining films of its genre.  This is a world Blu-ray premier restored from the original negative.

Limited to 1,500 with 20 page booklet.

    DVD Grading

We spot play test all used DVD's.  DVD's that have never been opened we obviously cannot guarantee their state.

We encourage you to view all the pictures and read our comments on the conditions, as we find these to be more beneficial than a standard grade. Occasionally we'll use a grade range (ie: VG / VG+) for either disc or cover if condition is borderline and hard to stick in one category.

    Mint:

DVD - only given to sealed discs, or films we personally acquired new, opened them but never played. Of course since the disc is sealed we cannot guarantee there are no pressing flaws, and since DVD's are out of print, we cannot except returns or exchanges on sealed titles that have been opened.

    Cover - is still sealed.

    Near Mint (NM):

    DVD - looks like new.

Cover - may have light typical storage wear, but overall looks new.

    Excellent (EX):

DVD - may have one or two light marks (not scratches) but should play with no issues.

Cover - has some very minor cosmetic issue, like a light crease, nothing that is very noticeable.

    Very Good Plus (VG+):

DVD - will have some scuffs and light surface marks (not scratches), but should play with no issues.

Cover - will have noticeable wear, writing on cover, creases, etc.  Could be a couple items (not all) and they should not be major.

    Very Good (VG):

DVD - will have a fair amout of surface wear, possibly scratches that can be felt, but should play through without hanging up.

Cover - will have a couple cosmetic issues , writing on cover, creases, etc and it will be very pronounced.

    Good (G):

DVD - we will not list discs that aren't VG or better.

Cover - cover is damaged to a point where it is not usable.   The only time we'll list something with a cover in this shape is if it's rare or the disc is in great shape.

Orders ship within two business days.

Rest assured, unlike MANY sellers and even large companies, we know how to ship vinyl (and LaserDiscs) correctly! We used high quality mailers, two to three cardboard stiffners and if the album you are buying is used it is shipped outside the cover to prevent damage to the seams in transit. When it comes to shipping LaserDiscs we don't always ship outside the cover as in transit seam wear is not as common. If you want your discs shipped outside the cover feel free to note that at checkout in the message box.

See our new shipping page HERE for all rates and information.

Please note we no longer ship to the following:
Germany - because of your LUCID packaging registration requirements
UK (including Ireland & Scotland) - because of your Brexit VAT registration requirements
