Directed by Jean-Luc Godard, Contempt (also known by its original title Le Mépris) is a critically-acclaimed French drama starring the beautiful Brigitte Bardot. Based on the 1954 Italian novel Il disprezzo, the film follows the story of a French playwright (Michel Piccoli) who is hired by an American film producer (Jack Palance) to rewrite a script for Fritz Lang's adaptation of the Odyssey. As the playwright's wife, Bardot's character struggles with their already strained relationship as she joins him on set. This thought-provoking and artfully crafted film is a must-see for fans of Bardot and European cinema.

This is the original large format (or Grande) poster for the film's release in France and is easily one of the best Brigitte Bardot posters in her film career.  A true "barn find" we obtained this from an individual in France who found it in an attic, it's a very rare poster that very infrequently comes up for sale.
