From dancer, to model, to actress Barbara Bouchet was a force to be reckoned within Italian cult cinema during the 1970's, with indisputable beauty and intelligence. As one of our favorite international cult film actresses, we thought limiting ourselves to a few random reviews in our International Film blog simply wasn't good enough. We wanted to create a separate and more comprehensive collection of Barbara Bouchet material than has ever been seen on the net, from rare interviews, photos and magazine articles to reviews of films that even cult film fans have never heard of! Thus the Barbara Bouchet Film Series was born, so be prepared for the most comprehensive collection of Barbara Bouchet reviews anywhere!

The Virginian - Season 6 Episode 15: The Fortress (1967) November 24, 2016 12:15

The Virginian marks Barbara Bouchet's only appearance in a western genre role.  While its definitely a decent tease of what could have been if she'd pursued westerns in her Italian film career, it's ultimately a role that doesn't vary much from her previous guest appearances.

Danger Route (1967) November 7, 2016 09:00

Danger Route breaks away from the stereotypical Euro-spy/James Bond knock-off adventure.  There's no gadgets, there's very little action (most of it's shown in the trailer below), it's abnormally serious and dark, and starts off at a rather slow pace.  Add that all up and you're looking at a film that's probably only going to appeal to the genre's hardcore enthusiasts or fans of Richard Johnson.

Casino Royale (1967) October 6, 2016 21:38

When it comes to Casino Royale there are only two kinds of viewers.  Those who are going to hate it, and those who admittedly have to watch it five times to remotely understand the plot and claim they enjoy it.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. - Season 2 Episode 26: The Project Deephole Affair (1966) August 26, 2016 08:00

While panned and mocked by many, Barbara Bouchet's first co-starring film appearance in the campy cult film Agent For H.A.R.M. did nothing but good things for Bouchet's blossoming career which landed her a guest spot in the hot 1960's spy series The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and a handful of other spy-centric roles to come.

Agent For H.A.R.M. (1966) August 1, 2016 08:00

Agent For H.A.R.M., likely known more for its featured appearance on the 90's cult TV series Mystery Science Theater 3000, where B-movies go to be mocked.  For Barbara Bouchet fans it's the first real chance to see the actress in a large co-starring role.  While it is an overly campy romp, it's a fun one none the less.

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea - Season 2 Episode 6: The Left-Handed Man (1965) July 19, 2016 00:47

Barbara Bouchet makes a "splash" in Irwin Allen's classic 1960's adventure series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.  Unfortunately the promotional photos promise a lot more than is ever delivered, still it's another solid television appearance for the blossoming actress.

The Rogues - Episode 11: Plavonia, Hail and Farewell (1964) March 28, 2016 23:47

Barbara Bouchet wastes no time in solidifying herself as an international blonde bombshell.  In her first credited role she turns on the heat and gives plenty of pouty looks as the sultry temptress who throws a hammer in the cog of Gig Young's conman plan, in the short lived NBC television series The Rogues.
